Revealing The Motion of Water
Magically, long-exposure photography gives the photographer the power to reveal and preserve the motion of water in a way we can never see with our own eyes. This photograph reveals the moving water as it flows over the Magarge Dam. The Dam powered many of the first paper mills by Charles Magarge and others that populated the Wissahickon basin area in the late 1800s. Philadelphia was the nation’s primary papermaking center through the early nineteenth century. © All rights reserved - Unauthorized use is prohibited
